Welcome to TuVida's page. We support unpaid carers and the people they care for with services in England and Wales. How do we do this?

At TuVida we support carers and the people they care for. It's our aim to provide individualised support that helps carers live life with independence, choice and peace of mind. When illness or disability strike, a lot of people can feel the impact. Suddenly it can seem as though life is on lockdown — whether it's you being cared for, or you're providing care to somebody else. Our aim is to help unlock doors; opening up the world again so that you can re-connect with others and make choices that enrich your life. At TuVida, we know that there is no 'one one-size-fits-all' formula for effective care and support. It's our aim to offer the best, most appropriate support to people who need it. By working in a number of areas across England, providing services such as regulated care or respite care that enables unpaid family/friend carers to take time off. In some locations we also operate Carers Hubs – centres offering information and events for adults and young people who care for others. We are hugely proud of Tina and Sally from our brilliant team who were both recognised at the Nottinghamshire Proud to Care Awards last night.

Tina Singlehurst was named the winner of the Excellence in Dementia Award, recognising her commitment to supporting people living with dementia in Nottinghamshire. Sally Drury-Orrell was a finalist in the Community Carer of the Year category, recognising her valuable contribution to the community and the difference she makes to those in her care.

The awards were hosted by Nottingham's very own Vicky McClure with the amazing Our Dementia Choir with Vicky McClure and organised by Nottinghamshire County Council My Nottingham Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Care Association

🎓 We’re looking forward to delivering Young Carers training at Victoria Primary School next week!

The training will support school staff to:

💙 Understand the needs of young carers
🔍 Recognise young carers who may be hidden
👂 Listen to their experiences
🤝 Provide the right support

By working together, we can help young carers feel seen, understood and supported to have a life alongside their caring role.

We're backing Vikki Slade MP's call for a Young Carer's Champion in every school.

More than 4,500 schools already have a lead for young carers, but every school needs one.

Having this kind of support in all our schools can make a huge difference in helping young carers to balance learning and caring.
