A green oasis in Upper Norwood in the grounds of St John the Evangelist. Volunteer led and run.

A welcoming space where wildlife flourishes with fruit trees vegetable, herb and flower beds for the use of all in the community.

Our veggie seedlings are coming along! This Saturday we shall be helping the children make an Easter Garden in church St John the Evangelist, Upper Norwood from 11 so there won't be an organised group in the meadow this month. Do pop along on Wednesday afternoons if you are free.

Did you know we have an edible hedge in the meadow? There's sloes, currants, hazel bushes, blackberries and berries for the birds. But if you look underneath it you can find beauties like this Snakes Head Fritillary. St John the Evangelist, Upper Norwood

Spring is here in the Meadow at St John the Evangelist, Upper Norwood . We shall be resuming our monthly working parties on the 15th March and continuing on the third Saturday of every month from 11am-1pm. Come along and help make our grounds look beautiful, learn about and help grow veg or get behind a mower. All ages and abilities are welcome just wear practical clothes and footwear and bring gloves if you have them.

This is what the onion bed used to look like, now it's overgrown with w**ds and the onions are ready to harvest, come and join our working party on Saturday 20th from 11am to harvest and w**d!

A fruitful and productive meadow working day yesterday St John the Evangelist, Upper Norwood meadow. Compost sieved, seeds planted and fruit growing in abundance. Come and join us next month, Saturday 20th July 11-1.

We shall be meeting again on Saturday 15th to work on the meadow, the w**ds are growing like mad, grab a pair of gloves and come and help it look beautiful. 11-1pm.

Join us in the meadow this Saturday from 11-1 to get your nature fix, lots of jobs to do and natural world to admire.
