Great to see those of you who came along to the recent Keeping Abreast Plymouth Support Group.
Our next Support Group will be on Thursday 30th April when we will be joined by Trainee Genetic Counsellor Millie Graham who will be happy to answer questions, and Vicky Morgan from The Attic who will be there to talk about ni**le tattooing.
As always, we'll be in The Alf Wright Lounge at Harewood House, The Ridgeway, Plympton, Devon, PL7 2AS from 7pm to 9pm and everyone is welcome - whether you're considering, facing or going through breast reconstruction after a breast cancer diagnosis or the discovery of a hereditary breast cancer gene, or supporting someone who is. No need to book - simply come along for a cuppa and a chat on the night! Hope to see you there x

If you're in Devon and looking for breast cancer reconstruction support - or you are supporting someone who is - then why not pop in to the Keeping Abreast Plymouth Support Group this evening, Tuesday 5th Feb? Come along for a cuppa and a chat and to meet our lovely KA Volunteers who will be happy to share their own reconstruction experiences with you. There will also be the opportunity to see real surgery results, if you wish. All welcome!

What an incredible month it’s been — filled with courage, community and compassion. To every volunteer, business and supporter who’s stood with us to raise awareness and funds for women facing reconstruction surgery after cancer — thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. 💗
For some, October is a month of action — to speak up, fundraise and connect. For others, it’s a time to slow down, reflect and nurture your own well-being. Both are powerful. Both are needed. And remember — we’re here for you, every single month of the year, at any age, at any stage.
To close out this month with something truly special, our wonderful volunteer Nicola from the new Plymouth Support Group has shared a heartfelt poem about her own story - please find a snippet from this below. Thank you, Nicola, for reminding us of the strength found in vulnerability. The next KA Plymouth Support Group will be on Thursday 4th December from 7pm to 9pm at Harewood House, The Ridgeway, Plympton, Devon, PL7 2AS - hope to see you then! Fantastic news!
We're delighted to announce that a Keeping Abreast Support Group has been set up in Plymouth with the first Support Groups taking place on Thursday 2nd October and Thursday 4th December. These meetings will be held from 7pm to 9pm in The Alf Wright Lounge at Harewood House, The Ridgeway, Plympton, Devon, PL7 2AS and there's no need to book - you can simply pop in!
If you are considering, facing or going through breast reconstruction after a breast cancer diagnosis or the discovery of a hereditary breast cancer gene, or you're supporting someone who is, then come along, either on your own or with a friend, partner, family member etc to meet the friendly breast reconstruction nurses Claudia and Katie and the welcoming Keeping Abreast Volunteers who will be very happy to support you.
