Great Scarecrow Trail of NR8 A community Scarecrow Competition and Trail

Based in Taverham, Thorpe Marriott & Drayton

The Great Scarecrow Trail of NR8 was founded in May 2025 in memory of a dear friend, who is much loved and missed by many in the NR8 area. She loved to fund raise for her sons school and support the local community. Therefore, In honor of her memory, all monies raised will be donated to the Hall School Norfolk, who require a new minibus.

Tomorrow is the day! All the wonderful Scarecrows will be out and ready to be discovered!

A huge thank you to all those who have participated and raised monies for The Hall School in Norwich.

Thank you to the sponsor Think Property for providing the maps and most importantly, the £50 cash prize for the winning Scarecrow.

Another huge thank you to Taverham Nursery Centre for providing 2nd place and 3rd place vouchers.

Let's hope for another successful year with lots of enjoyment and respect for the Scarecrows.

The trail starts 1st August 2026 until 14th August 2026.

We're still searching for some willing judges if anyone would like to volunteer?

We are lucky to have a lovely handmade scarecrow 🐖🐽 donated to the trail, but it has no garden to be displayed in 😞.

Do we have a lovely home or business, willing to display this scarecrow from 1st - 14th August please? 🤞

Just needs to be safe and easy to see. 📸

Any guesses what this scarecrow might be? Can't wait to reveal them to you all! Maps will be available 1st August either...
