🌳🌱Sycamore Pulling Event – 9th August, 10am - 1pm🌱🌳

Sycamore trees produce huge numbers of seedlings, and they grow fast. Even with the recent drought, the sycamore saplings are making a strong comeback in Buckenham Wood.

If we don’t keep on top of them, they quickly become established and can block the light to the woodland floor.

We’re putting on an extra volunteering day dedicated to pulling up as many sycamores as we can. It’s great exercise, and even half an hour of your time makes a real difference to the health of the woodland. We’d be so grateful for your help.

This week a used BBQ and litter left in Buckenham wood.

Because of the fire risk, we’ve reported this incident to the local police.

Please keep Buckenham Wood safe — no BBQs or open fires.

📣⚠️Notification to work to the communications mast⚠️📣

🌿 The team has been out in Buckenham Wood this week installing brand‑new information boards across the BAWT‑managed areas.

These boards share stories about the flora and fauna of the wood, highlight key species you might spot on your walk, and offer a glimpse into the history of how people once used and managed the woodland.
