A huge thank you to our friends at Hospice Ethiopia UK, who have once again donated supplies to Footprints 2 Africa.

We have built such a lovely relationship with Sue and the team, and their kindness over time means a lot to us. Some time ago, we reached out to them about a patient in Ethiopia who needed ongoing stoma care and supplies. They stepped in to help, and we are incredibly grateful that they still continue to care for this person today.

There is something special about charities supporting one another, sharing what we can and coming together when someone needs help. It reminds us just how much more can be achieved when we work together.

Thank you to everyone at Hospice Ethiopia UK for your generosity, friendship and all that you do.

Chaos, Kindness, and a Cameo by the PM: Our Race Across Northumberland!

This time last week, six teams were frantically racing to reach the final checkpoint of a two-day, low-budget adventure race across Northumberland and Newcastle, all in aid of Hospice Ethiopia UK. Day 1 kicked off in Ponteland, where teams lined up in the park armed with nothing but their backpacks, paper maps (dated 1991!), green bandanas and a strict £20 daily cash budget....

To everyone who took part this weekend, THANK YOU! You made this event everything we had hoped for and absolutely more!

Honestly, by Sunday evening I could hardly string a sentence together because I was so overwhelmed with joy (and that was before shaking hands with the Prime Minister, but that's a story for another day!). I truly couldn't have asked for a better weekend. The people who threw themselves into this challenge are a constant source of inspiration and motivation for me, and this weekend just proved that even more.

To the Incredible Followers & Donors - a MASSIVE, heartfelt thank you to absolutely everyone who followed along with our live updates over the weekend! Your messages, comments, and cheers kept us all going. And to every single person who donated, we are completely blown away by your generosity. We couldn't have done any of this without this amazing community cheering us on!

Because of your incredible energy and willingness to dive headfirst into this challenge, we have now raised almost £1,800 for Hospice Ethiopia UK! This money is genuinely life-changing. It directly ensures that the team out in Addis Ababa can continue their wonderful, vital work providing comfort for people coming to the end of their life.Thank you for being part of the team.

Hospice Ethiopia's Race Across Northumberland has been completed!
The winners were Jess and Kanchen with 825 points. Starting with a budget of £20 per day, they came in with more money then they started due to generous donations along the way.
Many thanks to Alice Ingram, HEUK's trustee who organised the 2 day event.

Jamie and Simon cycle Norfolk’s rebellion way

The brothers successfully navigated their way around Norfolk for 232 miles along sandy tracks, forest trails and tarmac roads, avoiding potholes and dehydration to raise a fantastic £2011 + gift aid to support the work of Hospice Ethiopia.
