Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Open Gardens event on 30th May, held in partnership with the National Garden Scheme 🌿

With sunshine, homemade cakes, refreshments and plenty of friendly faces, it was a wonderful day that welcomed 184 visitors to our beautiful hospice gardens.

We're delighted to have raised £1,691.20, thanks to the hard work of our volunteers and the generosity of everyone who came along.

It was especially lovely to see patients enjoying the day outdoors alongside visitors, making the most of the Lodge's accessible gardens and the beautiful weather.

Last week, we had a wonderful time celebrating our volunteer teams across PBHC and East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust!

🎸 Volunteers were treated to a live performance from The Cover Notes at the Costessey Centre

🍰 They also enjoyed tea and cake at Alby Crafts and Gardens

😀 Our staff team attended the Volunteer Extravaganza at The Forum, Norwich, hosted by Voluntary Norfolk

🌼 At the end of the week we hosted a lovely BBQ for both staff and volunteers as a thank you for all the work they do

We’re celebrating Carers Week this week!

This year’s theme is Building Carer Friendly Communities, by recognising the importance of creating supportive environments where carers feel valued, understood and empowered.

At Priscilla Bacon Lodge, carers support groups run by East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust take place every week, providing a safe and welcoming space for carers to share experiences and access support. These sessions help them navigate the emotional and practical challenges of caring, with a strong focus on wellbeing, resilience, and self-care.

We're proud to play our part in building a carer friendly community that supports carers in every aspect of their lives.
