📢 Bank Holiday Weekend Update 📢

There will be a slight change to our drop-in sessions over the Bank Holiday weekend.

📍 Our volunteers will be available at Loddon Library on:
🔹 Monday 31 August - CLOSED
🔹 Thursday 3 September 12PM - 1PM

Our shelves remain open during Open Library hours, and any donations are greatly appreciated.

Did you know that the Chet Valley Community Larder can help if you are struggling in the current financial climate with food costs.

Our free larder, is open to everyone, to help each other with reducing food waste and to share food to those in need. 🥕🍞

The donation shelves & fridge are open throughout the week and we appreciate any donations you may wish to make, including cash donations, these can be handed to volunteers or at the Loddon Town Council office. 🥔🥫💵

Our volunteers are at the community larder every Saturday between 1.00-2.00pm and every Monday between 12.00-1.00pm in Loddon Library, during which time, food bags will be available to collect for a small donation of £1.

We’re really pleased to be able to have this facility in Loddon and would like to thank everyone who makes it all possible. We are extremely grateful to those who provide donations and to the volunteers who help make sure that the larder is accessible and stocked.

Did you know the Community Larder helps provide affordable food while preventing perfectly good food from going to waste?

The Larder is available to residents across the Chet Valley, including Loddon, Chedgrave, Hales & Heckingham, Langley & Hardley, and Sisland.

For a suggested donation of just £1, registered members can collect a food bag during our open sessions.

We’re proud to have the Community Larder available to help reduce food waste and share food with those in need across the Chet Valley, including residents of Loddon, Chedgrave, Hales & Heckingham, Langley & Hardley, and Sisland.

Our volunteers are on hand at Loddon Library every Monday (12-1 PM) and Saturday (1-2 PM) to assist with larder registration, food bag collections, and donations.

💚 156 Food Bags Provided So Far in 2026! 💚

Thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers, donors, members and partners, Chet Valley Community Larder has provided 156 food bags to registered households between January and May this year.

Every food bag represents practical support for local households, helping families access affordable food while reducing waste and strengthening our community.

Our monthly totals were:
