Bring your family and enjoy a visit to our Summer Fete, all in aid of the Village Hall, take a burger, beer or a cup of tea and cake, for the kids and the grown up kids we have Dreamy Cow with us, selling there delicious Ice Cream.

Take a look at our stalls, and buy a raffle ticket.

So come along from Midday today till 4pm

✨ Summer Fete & Fun Dog Show ✨

It is with a heavy heart we are cancelling the Fun Dog Show section of events tomorrow. 😞
This is all due the constant high temperatures we have had this week and the forecast tomorrow with temperatures reaching 28 or even 29 degrees.

Please leave your furry friends at home with plenty of water and shade.

However…..
The family country fete in aid of the charitable trust running the village hall is still going ahead.

We have:

Stalls including;
Twycross Museum ✅
Skittles ✅

Summer Fete & Fun Dog Show

We all know it’s hot, and even more uncomfortable for our furry friends.

We are keeping an eye on the weather and the forecast is saying the day time temperatures will drop to a high of 28 degs.

Currently we are still proceeding with the show and will send out a message on Friday evening.

We will have plenty of shelter around the arena, and plenty of water for our small friends.

📣 One Week to Go! 📣

This time next week the Summer Fete & Fun Dog Show will be in full swing.

Who’s coming? ✅

All the proceeds go to the charitable trust which runs the Norton Juxta Twycross village hall.

✨ The Village Hall is a charitable trust and is run for and on behalf the local residents ✨

Funds are tight and thanks to the National Lottery we have managed to carry out this wonderful positive project.

With an aging population and we all suffer with some aliment of some sort, we decided to make the hall inclusive and for all, to hear each other better, we decided to investigate the installation of acoustic panels to reduce the reverberation time, the echo in the room.

Since the fitting of the panels we have had some really positive feedback. 😊

For 30 years the Village Hall had an echo or reverb that made the environment uncomfortable for many. Our solution was to obtain funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and install 27 sound absorbing acoustic panels

👏 Open Flower Weekend 👏

The Open Flower Weekend at Holy Trinity Church in Norton juxta Twycross was a great success thanks to the enthusiasm and skills of so many people; the flower arrangers, volunteers providing and serving refreshments, setting up and clearing up, plus Garden Warehouse Measham and Florist of Twycross for plants and flowers. A big thank you must go to all our visitors who donated a total of £820 for much needed church funds. If you could not come that weekend, you can see the church in bloom here:
