We had some great feedback from our resident members at our AGM. One item we really want to do is a community event within Dane view that gets all of our residents involved.

A number of ideas were mentioned but to enable any of them to work we need some help.

We had a great AGM last week and our members learnt about all the work we have done last year, along with our future priorities. We want to take the opportunity to thank for working with us to help improve things on this development.

This week we completed our latest committee meeting and minutes are now available in the app.

To provide residents with a small update on the actions so far in this year:

We have been in discussions with the council regarding a number of issues, especially around parking at the cemetery, state of hedges down Shipbrook Road, and the footpath from the estate to the railway bridge.

Over the summer we liased with the local police community support team to arrange for the park to be added to patrols. It’s been agreed that this had a positive impact on reducing anti social behaviour on the estate.

We will shortly be raising the issue of the lack of footpath to the railway bridge to our local MP.

We have been investigating where the grit box purchased for Dane Road has disappeared to, and are trying to get it put back into place before the cold weather spell hits. We are also re-raising with the council the importance of ensuring Shipbrook Road is on this year’s gritting schedule.

Looking further forward, we are in the process of starting planning for a small community event in Easter 2026 and more information will be shared in January.

The next meeting is on 15th January 2026, but you can continue to use the app to raise issues to the committee. Updates for individual issues raised on the app will be added to the app over the next week.
