Time moves differently in Rome.
You walk among ruins that once held power, life, and the centre of the world — and now stand as quiet proof that everything… passes.
And in that moment, something shifts: we are passing too.
At , we are developing the Recovery Programme — a space for those facing terminal illness, where time is no longer about planning ahead, but about living what is here, now.
Recovery is not about fixing.
It is about:
– breath
– stillness
– dignity
– being human, not a diagnosis
It is about creating moments that still belong to you.
Standing between ancient walls that have outlived centuries, and a body that may be slowly letting go, you feel the contrast deeply.
But also the truth.
On my notebook, there is a simple line:
“Travel as much as you can. Life is not meant to be lived in one place.”
Today, it means something more.
Travel is not only about places.
It is about transitions. Endings. Returns to self.
Recovery is that kind of journey.
Not always easy.
But real.
We are also building this programme through connection —
seeking partners across the world who understand that recovery is not always about cure, but about experience, care, and dignity.
In Italy, we are currently working with several places that embody this approach —
and I will be sharing more about them in the next posts.
Because even when time is limited…
how you live it is still yours.
