Our young people had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas this year. In one of our homes, they asked to have West African cuisine for their dinner, and we were more than happy to make it happen! Our team prepared a delicious jollof rice dish garnished with fried plantain, and served alongside prawns and some style chips as snacks. Our then spent the evening unboxing their presents and enjoying the festivities together. ✨

We had an amazing time at our team Dinner, which truly reflected the warm, inclusive, and positive culture within our homes. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed , where, as well as exchanging gifts, they each wrote a personal compliment for every colleague. This simple exercise has proven effective in strengthening teamwork, fostering mutual respect, and recognising each other’s contributions. We plan to continue using similar activities to promote staff and a team culture in future!

SBCHL has expanded its specialist care portfolio with the acquisition of Clover Childcare Services – adding a sixth specialist branch to the group.

Clover Childcare Services, founded in 2007, operates four therapeutic homes providing 16 beds in total, alongside its own 22-place school. Since 2023, it has been one of only two DDP Network Certified Organisations in the UK, demonstrating its commitment to trauma-informed, attachment-focused practice across all areas of its work.

CCSL will continue to operate with the identity, approach, and culture that make it such a special place for the children and young people it supports. Former Director Dan will also remain in post to ensure continuity throughout the transition.

This acquisition marks an important step in SBCHL’s mission to expand high-quality therapeutic care across the UK.

The 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 enjoyed a well-earned break at the stunning 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀, joined by our primary school children. Fed by Kilimanjaro’s glacier streams and nestled in the homeland of the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, it was the perfect place to relax, explore forest trails and enjoy the mountain air.

A 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 to the entire Silver Birch Care team for all the support during the visit, and 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 to the team members who climbed 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗿𝗼, collectively raising an impressive £𝟱,𝟴𝟴𝟴 for Kijana Kwanza’s projects.
