Discover Wistlandpound Come and Discover the lake, forest and trails at Wistlandpound.

The picturesque lake and forest at Wistlandpound is a great place for a family day out whatever your age or ability. With accessible trails, picnic areas, a bird hide and a range of value for money family events on offer through out the year we have something for everyone. We also offer a range of a range of educational activities suitable for Key stage 1 and 2 school groups including Mini Beast B

onanza, Natural Art, Shelter Building , Nature Detectives, Terrific Trees and Extraordinary Adaptations. All of our activities are run from the Discovery Centre and are planned to support and enhance the National Curriculum. The trails around the lake are open to the public all year, there is a small parking charge (50p for 1 hour or £2.00 for the whole day) and the lake is stocked with rainbow trout for fly fishing, please check out our website for information on where to get your permits.
