Hi! My name is Satania and I am starting this gofundme on beh… Satania Rowland needs your support for Help our Knights raise funds for life saving equipment! ⚔️

11/10/2026

Today, at our regular training session, one of our members, Scott Miller, took ill suddenly. Thanks to the quick actions of our emergency first aider, Satania, and the help of our regular members, we managed to get Scott into hospital and get him the care he needed.

One of our members went to get an emergency defibrillator from a nearby shop. Thankfully we did not need to use it, but with such a close call, we feel it is appropriate to try get one fitted at the Scout Hall, a very central location in Newtownards.

Scott had an Acute MI, a Heart Attack. He has now had a stent fitted, and is expected to make a full recovery.

Scott is my Dad, and I am very grateful for all the help from our club, from Ulster Hospital and the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Please donate to our go fund me if you can, and please share. We greatly appreciate your support!

Cheers,
Gaelan Miller
Captain of Knights of North Down.

The 1st Ards Scout hall has been the Knights of North Down HQ for over two years and we have a real appreciation for the work that the Scout leaders do and how important it is for our young people. We thought we'd give something back and so this afternoon some of the knights took to the scout hall to give a helping hand and started the process of levelling the car park there.

This time last week, the Claregalway Castle Shield took place. We had three fighters from the Knights of North Down competing at the event over the two days. It was a fantastic event and we'd like to thank all of the other clubs involved, all of the marshalls and all of those supporting for a truly memorable weekend! 🖤
