As we celebrate 50 years of Skateraw Fair, this year’s theme is:
🌞 Sizzling Summer of ’76 🌞

Join us on Saturday 27th June 2026 for a retro seaside summer celebration.

A huge thank you needs to be given to the Newtonhill Village Association for arranging another successful Santa Run! The Larder have received a very generous donation collected from the communities at Newtonhill, Muchalls & Chapelton. Thank you so much to everyone who donated to and organised these wonderful events! 🎅🏻 Looks as though everyone had lots of fun too!

Santa run update! 🎅🏻
Firstly I want to apologise it has taken me so long to post this but with Christmas and work with 3 kids it gets busy!

The most important thing for me to say is THANK YOU!! This years Santa run had a few technical issues but it was so wonderful to see everyone come out and support us 🎅🏻 also a massive thank you to our volunteers who walked with us each night to collect money 🌟 you guys were amazing!!! 🌟
This year’s Santa run was only possible by your support and the outstanding support from our local sponsors for local businesses. Their support helped us to provide sweets for all the kids, provide upgrades to our run, provide extra events, a new suit for Santa and all the additional costs that are included it making it happen. Without their support this event wouldn’t be what it is! Thank you to Hair by Lorna Washington, Rachael Taylor,Homeshield Scotland LTDQuoiters Café Bar,T&S Joinery , Broadway Boogie with Karen,Adventures by AJM,EB-Architect,Newton Arms, Quoiters, Megan Urquhart,Trinity Frameworks, R2 Scaffolding, Pauline Robbie and The Killing Tide!

This year’s total for our collection is a whopping £2400!

THANK YOU TO YOU ALL!!!

This money will be split up to groups suggested by the village in the community. I will keep you updated on who that is. Thank you again everyone from the Santa run team, Caitlin, Matthew, Thomas and Chris 🎅🏻💕🎄

That’s a wrap! Santa run night 3 completed 🎅🏻Honestly what a fun night it was and that was down to our fantastic volunteer crew this evening! Thank you so much Newtonhill for coming out to see us and helping us spread the Christmas cheer 🎄🌟

Night two completed! Hopefully you saw Santa on his round 🎅🏻 with a few adjustments to our transport and a few new decorations we headed off. A few special mentions to Hair by Lorna Washington for hosting us and providing refreshments for everyone and also to Ann and John for getting us all a cuppa half way around. 🎄 Huge shout out to our amazing crew of volunteer who braved the wind collecting pennies with us. 🌟 last chance to see Santa tomorrow so please head out and give us a wave 🎄

Well night one is complete! What a night! 🎄Started off well in Muchalls then all went a bit wrong in Chapelton. We can only apologise to everyone in Chapelton. Santas sleigh had to be recovered and then our support vehicle had to get some maintenance, meaning Santa walked Chapelton before our recovery arrived to save the day then we headed to Cairnhill. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and also to our amazing volunteers 🌟 we will be back to full running tomorrow 🤞🏻🤞🏻
