On 31st July, Fornax began a PR push — with Ian Jones featured in the Newton News, letters sent to local businesses, interviewed on a local news programme, and given a two-hour slot on Aycliffe Radio to promote the company’s hazardous waste incinerator plans.

This week, the Newton News carried numerous letters from local residents and campaigners — all raising serious questions about Fornax’s claims and highlighting the real concerns about the project.
