💛 Could you spare just a couple of hours to help make a difference in Newport? 💛

Marie Curie Newport Fundraising Group is looking for volunteers to help collect donations in-store as part of our Paint It Yellow fundraising campaign.

📅 31st July – 1st August

By giving just two hours of your time, you'll be helping Marie Curie provide vital care and support to people living with terminal illness and their families when they need it most.

Whether you're able to help with a short shift or would simply like to learn more, every volunteer plays an important role in supporting this amazing cause.

💚 Fundraising Convention London! 💚

Our Newport Fundraising Team member, James, had a fantastic time attending the final Fundraising Convention hosted by The Chartered Institute of Fundraising in London.

James said:

It was a brilliant opportunity to connect with fundraisers from across the UK, hear fresh ideas, and learn from people who are passionate about making a real difference. I'm looking forward to bringing these insights back to South Wales and sharing them with the team as we continue to grow and strengthen our community fundraising work for Marie Curie."

Events like these are invaluable for learning, collaboration, and innovation. By investing in professional development, we can continue to provide the very best experience for our supporters while raising vital funds to support people living with a terminal illness and their families across Wales.

We're incredibly grateful to the many local businesses that support Marie Curie by displaying a collection pot or daffodil box on their counters.

As part of Volunteers' Week, we'd like to give a special thank you to our dedicated Box Co-ordinators. These volunteers play a vital role behind the scenes, regularly visiting businesses across their designated areas to check, collect, and replace tins and boxes, helping to ensure every donation can make a difference.

Thank you for your commitment, enthusiasm, and support. We couldn't do it without you!
