PLEASE HELP for Armistice Day! The members or our Arts and Crafts Group have been busy knitting and crocheting poppies for our Armistice Day display, but we need more before the 11th November 2026.
Our Arts and Crafts Group will meet on Friday 16th October, between 10.30am and 12.00pm, and we would love anyone to come along and help us with our project.
If knitting, or crochet, isn't your thing, why not enjoy stone painting poppies, poppy pyrography or card making.
No need to book, and the session and resources are free.

Would your family benefit from £30.00 worth of food for £5.00? Every week, before we open our Community Larder, we have a delivery of fresh, frozen, tinned and dried food, as well as essential household items from local supermarkets.
Residents of Pan, Pan Meadows, Barton and Fairlee pay £5.00 for two full shopping bags, or £3.00 for one full shopping bag, so if you choose wisely you could go home with up to £30.00 worth of goods!
We also have larder stock that has been very generously donated by our local community.
Our Community Larder is open every Friday from 12.00pm until 2.00pm. We look forward to seeing you then!

🎃👻 PUMPKIN CARVING FUN AT PAN TOGETHER! 👻🎃
Halloween is creeping closer… which means it’s time for some spooky pumpkin carving fun! 🕷️🎃
Bring the children along to Pan Together at Downside Community Centre for a fun-filled pumpkin carving session where they can get creative, make their very own Halloween pumpkin and enjoy some spooky treats along the way!
And the best bit for parents?
🎃 NO PUMPKIN MESS TO CLEAN UP AT HOME! 😂🙌
We’ll provide everything your little ones need, so you can sit back, enjoy the fun and take home a fabulous finished pumpkin ready to show off on Halloween night.
🎃 WHAT'S INCLUDED?
For just £3.00 per child, each child will receive:
🎃 Their very own pumpkin to carve
🔪 A supervised pumpkin carving activity
💡 A FREE pumpkin light to make their creation glow
🍬 A spooky little goodie bag
🏠 And, of course, they get to take their finished pumpkin home!
👻 WHEN IS IT?
📅 Thursday 29th October
We have two sessions available:
⏰ 10:30am session
⏰ 1:30pm session
Each session is limited to just 8 children, so places are VERY limited.
⚠️ BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL!
🕷️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
As pumpkin carving tools will be used, children must be accompanied by an adult.
👨‍👩‍👧 One adult is required for every two children.
This is a hands-on activity, so children can get stuck in and create their own spooky masterpiece, with adults there to help and supervise.
🎃 WHY NOT LET US HANDLE THE MESS?
We all love the finished pumpkin… but perhaps not the seeds, pumpkin guts and sticky kitchen surfaces that come with making one! 😂
Let the children have all the messy fun here at Pan Together, then simply take their finished creation home.
Creative kids + Halloween fun + no pumpkin-covered kitchen = happy parents! 🎃❤️
