Posters like this are popping up across town, and I've heard that special offers will include food & drink, jewellery & gifts, free gifts with some purchases and some lovely crafting and beauty offers too.

As soon as it is underway, I'll tell you all! Until then, here's the webpage about it: https://www.love-running.com/retail-therapy/

Follow Random-World to find out more!

Just for fun...easy question alert!

Our building had been empty for around 6 years before we took it over. We were thrilled to bring an empty building back into use.

What did the store used to be prior to Random-World?

Trickier question- what was it before that?

🎶 Fire & Dust comes to Newport’s Apollo Theatre 🎶

After six years of supporting and brightening the community through Operation Geranium, Art on Postcards and Art in Libraries, the team behind these projects is helping to bring an acclaimed live music production to Newport.

On Saturday 1 August, award-winning folk songwriter Reg Meuross presents Fire & Dust: A Woody Guthrie Story at the historic, volunteer-led Apollo Theatre in Pyle Street.

Commissioned and studio-produced by Pete Townshend of The Who, who also performs on the album, Fire & Dust explores the remarkable, turbulent and often tragic life of American folk pioneer Woody Guthrie.

Guthrie’s music influenced generations of artists, including Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Joe Strummer, Ralph McTell and Paul McCartney. Reg Meuross brings his story vividly to life through original songs, storytelling and live performance, accompanied by outstanding musicians from the British folk scene.

📅 Saturday 1 August
📍 The Apollo Theatre, Pyle Street, Newport
🚪 Doors open at 7pm
🎟️ Tickets £16 plus booking fee

Tickets and further details are available from the Apollo Theatre box office. More information about the production can also be found on Reg Meuross’s website.

A wonderful opportunity to support live music, Newport’s historic community theatre and Age UK Isle of Wight.
