Last night, Wednesday 1st of July, the WM and brethren of NC24 enjoyed a fraternal visit to Segudunum Lodge at Wallsend Masonic Temple.
It was a fantastic night; the lodge room was packed and brethren were treated to a talk from WBro Chris Emmerson on Newcastle and the Fairs Cup, which even the Mackems enjoyed!
We took about a dozen brethren and were one of three lodges visiting. A great comment heard at the festive board, from an experienced and venerable brother was "this is like masonry of old".
We were proud and delighted to be part of that experience.
Thank you to the WM, WBro James Horner and the members of Segudunum Lodge, and to WBro Darren Bolton who provided harmony, for a brilliant midweek treat! We'll be back!

Last night Bro Noel took his next step in the craft, becoming our newest Fellowcraft. He did a good job with his questions, despite a room full to the brim with great and worthy men.
Thanks to those who stood in, to our visitors for making it an extra special night, and to John, for the harmony. Henry, cheers for turning up to support your friend.
Our SW showed stand-out commitment to the craft too- thanks Michael. šŸ¤

Guy Smith has set off on his epic run to London. Below you will see his links, to track his journey and to donate what you can. I caught up with him near Seaton, close to the Seaham coast. At that point he was close to finishing his first marathon!
Guy would tell you that he is grateful for any amount you can donate, and I can tell you he's earning every penny, with every step. Please consider donating.

Today some members of NC24 had a day in the woods, starting with a bacon sarnie and a brew, doing a little axe throwing after a nature walk and talk, then some fire lighting skills, followed by fish, chips and fresh baked bread for lunch, then archery to finish. A great day, with new skills and knowledge, but mostly a day spent in the best company.
We can offer days like this to other lodges, with all profits going to good causes including the 2031 Festival.
