It's conception was back in 2015 when Company Director, Jonathan Mellor, collaborated with local operatic societies to produce thr
ee shows: Show Must Go On, Blackadder and The Last Orders remembrance show, performed at Whitley Bay Playhouse. Originally set up to simply be a one night performance venture, the response and feedback was so great, that there was no option but to do it all again. Fast forward two years and Really Productions' official launch comes in the form of a mini tour of the comedy classic, Blackadder Goes Forth, on remembrance weeken 2017. The team behind Really has also grown and consists of members who have been involved with different amateur societies within the region, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience together. Our future aim is to produce shows across a variety of genres including dramas, TV adaptations and musicals, and bringing these to a range of theatres and venues across the North East. We also plan to continue to work with local societies and support them in producing shows that maybe solely they are unable to due to licencing restrictions.
