Meet Alanis, Chair of the Young Architects Practitioners Forum (YAPF)! 👋
🌟Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more of Alanis’ journey, including what inspired her to join the YAPF and why she continues to volunteer. But first, we wanted to introduce both Alanis and the forum she helps lead.
The future of architecture depends on supporting the next generation of professionals. The YAPF plays a vital role in creating connections between education and practice, helping emerging architects build their networks and confidence.
As we move through the summer, why not take a moment to consider: could volunteering with the YAPF be the right fit for you?

Last weekend we visited Kirkleatham with RIBA Tees for the annual Festival of Thrift, a brilliant celebration of sustainability, creativity and the local community.
The weekend welcomed an estimated 35,000 visitors, who got involved in workshops,creative activities, live music and sampled some delicious food.

At the RIBA tent, we spent the weekend promoting architecture across the region through LEGO building, mapping workshops and plenty of conversations about the world of architecture. It was great to meet so many people, connecting with the community to share the passion and creativity that exists across the region. We look forward to joining again next year 🏡🍃☀️
