Northumberland Young Farmers

Young farmers' clubs are for anyone between 10 and 28yrs who want to have fun, learn new skills and meet a great group of friends. Come and join!

You don't have to be a farmer to be a young farmer!! If you are aged between 10 and 28 and want to join in fun events and have an excellent social life with people of the same age, Young Farmers is probably what you've been looking for. There is so much to do in YFC. You'll meet lots of new friends in your club, county and nation-wide. You can get involved with competitions, social events, sports, travel, visits & talks and learn new skills; the opportunities are endless. You can do as much or as little as you like. Each club meets regularly and has something to offer to everyone. If you would like to find out more please contact the County Office who will put you in touch with your nearest Club.

Northumberland YFC County Positions 2026/27

Applications are now open for the following positions:

Junior Vice Chair
Open to Northumberland YFC members aged 18-25 on 1 September 2026. Applicants must remain in age when taking up the role of County Chair in two years time.

Junior Vice County President
Open to any former Northumberland YFC member.

If elected into the role you will progress through the roles of:

Junior Vice (2026/27)
Vice (2027/28)
County Chair/ County President (2028/29)

It may be the end of Young Farmers week but the friendships last a life time!

You may join Young Farmers as a shy, quiet junior member but you will leave with confidence and having learnt a folder full of skills by taking part in various competitions or being an office bearer.

Our members support their local communities by raising money for lots of great local causes or by just having a get together at a coffee morning.
