Today 15th October is the final day of baby loss awareness week.

At 7pm candles will be lit around the world creating a global Wave of Light for all babies gone too soon.

Before Ellis was diagnosed we would attend 4Louis event at souterlighthouse to remember our daughter, Ellis’s sister who passed before he was born.

This evening we will light a candle in honour of Neve and think about all the other families on this journey doing the same.

Well, it wouldn't be Halloween without a little spooky mischief! 😂

We've been made aware that the QR code on our posters has mysteriously **EXPIRED!** 💀

Apparently, even QR codes have an expiry date… who knew?! 🤦‍♂️😂

But fear not! 🧙‍♀️ We've worked our magic, chased away the technical gremlins and updated our posters with a **brand-new, working QR code!** 🪄✨

We’ve just updated our Team Ellis Lake Mini & Junior Run list, and these are the places we have remaining:

🟡 MINI RUN – JUST 3 PLACES LEFT
Ages 3–8 • 1.2km

🔵 JUNIOR RUN – 8 PLACES LEFT
Ages 9–16 • 4km

Places are now being offered on a first come, first served basis, so if your child would like to join Team Ellis Lake for the Great North Run 2027, get them signed up as soon as possible! 💚💜

After an amazing Team Ellis Lake at this year’s Great North Run, we’re already getting ready for 2027 — and places are going fast! 🌈💚
We now have just:

Ages 9–16 • 4km

Come and be part of Team Ellis Lake and help support the work of the Ellis Lake Foundation while giving the kids an amazing Great North Run experience. 💜

We have all had the best time at bendriggtrust with the MLD families. It was a joy to see how excited Ellis was with all the activities. The slide was by far his favourite and he kept asking for “more”. Huge thank you to mldsupportassociationuk for organising this.

✅ No minimum fundraising requirement
✅ Ellis Lake Foundation running vest
✅ Goodie bag for every runner
✅ Plenty of support from Team Ellis Lake!
✅ Fancy Dress Optional 🤣

Although there’s no minimum target, we’d love each runner to aim for £350 if possible.

That could provide 100 hygiene packs for parents and carers unexpectedly staying in hospital with their children. Every pound raised makes a genuine difference. 💜
