Every morning, I wake up and expect to see you curled up next to me, and every morning you're not there. My heart broke the day you were taken and over a year later it has still not begun to heal.
I put you in newspapers, spoke about you on the radio, covered social media with your face. I put up posters everywhere, I printed and hand delivered 1000s of leaflets, I asked people to check cameras and even checked in bins. I called every vet, rescue and the council, spoke to everyone I saw and reported your theft to the police. Yet somehow not one person has seen you in all this time.
Some people tried to help, some were cruel. The only thing I know for sure, is I will never give up hoping to see you again. It would take just one person to see you and get you scanned for a microchip. All the information is on there and up to date. Just one moment of kindness and you would be reunited with your family.
If someone called today with proof you had been found, I would race to go get you no matter how far away it was. I have so many happy memories with you, but it's hard to see them though the hurt I still feel. Why would anyone think its ok to hurt you by taking you away?
Wherever you are, I hope you know you are loved, you have not been forgotten and I hope everyday you will come home.
