🌟 Proud of East Lothian's young people

As the first National Cadets Week draws to a close, it has been an opportunity to recognise a remarkable group of young people and volunteers.

The week has been about celebrating the experiences, opportunities and achievements offered through the cadet movement and encouraging more people to discover what it can offer.

Here in East Lothian, we can be proud of the young people who step forward to participate, learn new skills, support one another and contribute to their communities.

And behind them are dedicated volunteers, families and supporters who make it all possible.
To everyone involved, thank you.

East Lothian is proud of you.

Another excellent youth group (also looking for a wee hand…)

🚔 National Cadets Week: Police Scotland Youth Volunteers

As we mark National Cadet Week, it is a great opportunity to recognise the young people involved with the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers East Lothian and the valuable contribution they make to our local communities.

Based in Musselburgh, these young volunteers give up their own time to support community events including gala days and festivals, help at sporting and charity events and take part in practical projects such as local clean-ups.

Alongside their volunteering, they develop confidence and teamwork, learn more about policing and put the values of good citizenship into practice. They also undertake various training modules which provides them with additional skills

National Cadet Week is a fitting opportunity to celebrate that spirit of service and recognise the commitment, enthusiasm and community-mindedness of our young volunteers.

Well done to everyone involved with Police Scotland Youth Volunteers East Lothian and thank you for the positive difference you make across East Lothian
