ReachOut session last night around the village.
Engagement with a small group of young people on the Kingfisher estate, no issues from them at all but a resident took exception to them being on their road and was telling them off for being noisy and hanging around. This group was doing nothing wrong and were merely making their way through after making sure 2nd the young ladies they were with got home safe. Not all young people are up to no good, they may have been noisy but they were having a laugh. They were sorry for any disruption they may have caused.
We spoke with them about now being in year 11 and what that means, the stress of GCSEs, mental wellbeing and what to do after. We have given them information in case they need support and told them about other services available to them.
More engagement near the Co Op with some young men from Rothley on e-bikes, a conversation about safety, the laws and such like.
Had to have a conversation with a couple of young boys who were being unsafe on their bikes on Boundary Road, one having a near miss with a car. Parent contacted to inform them.
All in all a good session.
A couple of focused groups also took place yesterday, Young Carers and Confidence group. Discussions on future funding for young carers and plans for fundraising ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ.

Hi, one of team was approached at Mug & Mingle today and was told that MENS group is discriminatory.
It is not, a men only group is to support men and as such calling it MENS it perfectly fine and does not in any way shape or form discriminate against any individual or group.

We have some more young people going back to school or AEP today and we just want to say good luck, and not to worry. You are amazing, you are brilliant, you are valued and you can achieve anything that you put your mind to.
If you have any questions, concerns or feel you need support then reach out to those trusted adults around you.
Have a great day ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Itโ€™s back to school for many more today and we just wanted to say Good Luck and Enjoy.
There may well be ups and downs and times when you find things a bit to much, but just know that there is always someone out there to talk to and give you support.
Have a great day.

We would like to take a moment to applaud and give a massive thanks to Ant.
He has worked voluntarily leading up to and all over the summer holidays to allow us to be able to provide the trips and outings to our targeted groups and disadvantaged young people that we have over the past few weeks.
This along with the fundraising he's done through Radio 1860 DJ services has meant we haven't had to reduce our offer to these in need young people.
He's not took a holiday himself or even a break by the looks of things and that is true dedication. I don't think it's truly realised just how much Ant puts in to and sacrifices to ensure the level of support doesn't ever fall short of 100%.
On behalf of all the young people, families and all of us. THANK YOU ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ.
Charlotte, Mel, Joe, Lee, Cade, Brian, Dillon, Rosie, Mark, Alicia, and Claire.
