Laleston Community Council covers an area situated west of Bridgend Laleston Community Council covers an area situated west of Bridgend.

In addition to the village of Laleston it includes Bryntirion, Brynhyfred [part], Broadlands, Cefn Glas [part] and Llangewydd Court. For electoral purposes the Community is divided into three uneven wards, ie. Cefn Glas 1 Ward
Cefn Glas 2 Ward and

Laleston Community Council is pleased to help promote the upcoming Boules Evening taking place at Blandy Hall on Friday, 19th June 2026 at 6:30pm, organised by the Pencoed Town & District Association.

Come along for an enjoyable evening at the Laleston Boules Pitch, with a buffet included in the ticket price of just £7.50 per person.

Last week, our Community Council marked the official handover of the Chair to Councillor Vivienne James , Independent,Laleston Community Council. We congratulate Vivienne on taking on this important role and look forward to seeing the dedication, leadership and fresh ideas she will bring to the year ahead.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Cllr Sarah Philpin - Independent - Cefn Glas for her outstanding commitment, hard work, and service as Chair over the past year. Her dedication to the community has been greatly appreciated, and her efforts have made a lasting impact across Laleston, Bryntirion, Broadlands and Cefn Glas.

Councillor Sarah Philpin represented the community with pride, passion and integrity throughout her term, and we thank everyone who supported the Council over the past year. We are delighted that she will continue to serve the community as a valued councillor.

Here’s to another successful year for our Community Council and the community we proudly serve.
