Things are starting to take shape for Mossbank Development Group, and while we wait for the next steps with OSCR, we’re continuing to get involved locally, listen, learn and keep up to date with what’s happening in our area.

We’d also still love to hear from you. If you live in Firth, Graven, Mossbank or Toft, and haven’t filled in our community consultation yet, there’s still time to share your thoughts.

The Neshion Energy Park consultation with the Scottish Governments Energy Consents unit closes on the 14th of September. You can access the plans and leave comment by following the below URL.

Select the 'Search' tab, then the 'Simple Search' tab and type in 'Neshion'. From there you can read through the proposed plans and documents and submit any comments in the 'Representations' section.

We encourage everyone within the Firth, Graven, Mossbank and Toft area to look over the plans and make any comments they feel should be heard.

Over the past few months, we’ve been asking what matters most to the people who live, work and have connections to Mossbank - and we’ve been really encouraged by the response.

Your feedback has given us a lot to think about but there seems to be some clear themes:

🌱 Protecting our community spirit, heritage & environment
🏫 Supporting the school & the facilities we already have
⚽ Creating more opportunities for children & young people
🏡 Building a community where people can feel proud to live, work & raise a family

We’ve heard some great ideas, some concerns, and plenty of enthusiasm for what Mossbank could become.

This consultation is about listening, understanding what matters to people, and beginning to identify where the Mossbank Development Group may be able to make a difference.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes over the past few months, and we’re pleased to say that we’re getting closer to the next stage for Mossbank Development Group!

Our constitution is nearly finalised, and we’re also getting close to officially signing up as trustees. Once that’s in place, we’ll be able to register with OSCR and become fully operational as a community development organisation.

When we reach that point, we’ll let the community know and will be able to open ourselves up to more members. There’ll be plenty more information to follow! 👀

In the meantime, we’ve really enjoyed getting out and about at events within our community, meeting people, hearing your ideas and reading the fantastic responses to our community consultation.

SSEN is asking for public feedback on their proposals to build a new substation in Toft. This is an important moment for our community, and local voices genuinely matter.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Games Night! 🎉

It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves, getting involved in the games, and, most importantly, taking the time to chat with us about our community.
