To end poverty through free education. Giving access to free education at all levels to the children of Ekenobizi (Nigeria), coming from poor families, abandoned or orphans allowing them to fulfill their dreams and succeed in life. We are an independent charity based in the UK, providin
g free education to more than 100 children in rural South East Nigeria. Our school, Martha'a Academy, is based in Ekenobizi, a samll village in Abia State. Our pupils are orphans, come from extreme poverty or could not afford education otherwise. In Nigeria, in 2017, education is still a privilege for a big part of its population, due to costs of school material, uniforms and the requirment for children to provide to the income of their families. We currently have 3 nursery classes and 3 Primary classes, with a staff of 4 teachers giving a brighter future to an increasing number of childen. This is just the first step towards the realisiation of our bigger goal: building our own primary and secoindary school., to allow local children to access Higher Education and build themselves a bright future, bringing improvement to their community.
