🗣️Today we joined campaigners outside the Supreme Court in London, with Auriel Glanville representing our Merton Friends of the Earth group in the photos, to stand up for the right to challenge environmental harm in court.

A current case could make it much more expensive for people to bring environmental legal action, meaning communities could be forced to stay silent, even when decisions affect their health, air, water, and local environment.

In simple terms: if legal cost protection is reduced, people may risk huge bills just for trying to protect nature and their communities.

What you can do:

👉 Support groups defending environmental justice
👉 Contact your MP

🗞️News from our Meeting with Wimbledon MP 🌍🌳

We had a very useful meeting with Paul Kohler on Sat 18 October. Paul said he would continue to support efforts to pass the Climate and Nature Bill to ensure the UK meets its international commitments to cut carbon emissions. 🙌

Paul also promised he would do his best to attend a National Emergency Briefing in Central Hall, Westminster, on 27 November where eight leading experts will explain why governments need to step up action to tackle the climate and biodiversity crisis.

The government must publish the new climate plan by 29 October. 🤞💚🌳🌎💪
