Oreo has come such a long way since he came to us in December. He came in terrified, he had his guard up and wouldn't let anyone near him- we can only imagine what hardships he had been through 💔

But with time, love, patience (and a whole lot of treats!) he started to relax and trust us. All our volunteers have spent a lot of time learning his ways and building his trust, and over the last 6 months he's changed in to the happiest little chap.

He loves to spend time with people and his favourite place to be is on a warm cosy lap 🥰
He travels well in the car and loves to get out and about, he enjoys a good play session, keeps his crate lovely and tidy- he's got everything going for him!

He's not shown much interest in children when out and about and has got on well with the few who have met him, but due to his hard start in life we would advise a home with dog savvy children aged 14+

Oreo isn't a fan of large breed dogs, but upon successful meet and greet he could potentially share his home with another small dog. He's shown no interest in cats that we have seen and could potentially live with a feline companion but this would need to be tested further on application

We really want to see this little bundle of love get the forever home he so deserves

🙏 If you think you could be the one, apply for him using the link below

Yesterday was one of those days that is both heartbreaking and hopeful.

We have been asked to help in excess of 60 cats living at a single property.

Situations like this rarely happen overnight. They often begin with just two much-loved cats. Without neutering, two become five, five become ten, ten become twenty, and before long the numbers have spiralled beyond what any one person can cope with. Sadly, that’s exactly what has happened here.

Walking into situations like this is never easy. The cats haven’t had the easiest start in life. While they have been cared for as best as possible, living in such large numbers means they have missed out on many of the experiences that most family pets take for granted.

These cats have spent their entire lives indoors and have never known the outside world. Some are friendly and curious, while others are nervous, shy and unsure of new people and new surroundings. Most are Bengals, Bengal crosses, Savannah crosses and Oriental crosses, with a few absolutely beautiful moggies mixed in too.

As we begin helping these cats, we are looking for indoor-only homes with families who understand that patience, kindness and time will be needed. Many of these cats will need a little while to learn what it means to be part of a family, to feel safe, and to trust. The rewards, however, will be worth every moment.

We are hopeful that over the coming days we will be able to help the remaining 50 odd cats still needing our support, but to do that, we need your help.

The reality is that every space we create allows us to save another life. Every cat adopted from our care gives another vulnerable animal the chance to come through our doors and receive the help it desperately needs.

If you have room in your home, space in your heart and the patience to help a cat find its feet, please consider applying to adopt.

And if you can’t adopt, please share. Share their stories. Share their photographs. Share our posts.

Because somewhere amongst these cats are animals who have never known what it feels like to truly belong to someone. Together, we can change that.

Let’s get our existing cats home so that we can continue saying “yes” to the animals who need us most.

Our beautiful Persian boy Cyrus is still searching for his forever home.

Cyrus arrived into our care in very poor condition, with a severely matted coat that had to be shaved away to make him comfortable again. As a result, he’s looking a little bald in places at the moment, but his beautiful coat will soon grow back, and he’ll be every bit as magnificent as he was always meant to be.

Sadly, Cyrus has been diagnosed with a Grade 4 heart murmur. He currently receives a simple daily tablet which costs approximately £6 per month. While we can't predict what the future holds for him, what we do know is that he deserves the chance to spend his days surrounded by love, comfort, and the security of a family to call his own.

Cyrus is looking for a home that can meet his needs:
🏡 Strictly indoor only
🐱 Best suited as the only cat in the home

Please don't let his diagnosis put you off. Cyrus has so much love, personality, and companionship to offer. He will bring warmth, laughter, and affection into the lives of those lucky enough to welcome him home.
We know his perfect family is out there somewhere.

Could you be the one to give Cyrus the loving forever home he deserves? ❤️

💔 Jodie & Charlie 💔

Some dogs break your heart the moment you meet them. Jodie and Charlie are two of those dogs.

They arrived with us several months ago in poor condition, carrying the signs of a life that had never known comfort, kindness, or the simple joys that every dog deserves.

For their entire lives, they lived outside. Their world consisted of a run and a hatch cut into a concrete room. No cosy bed. No warm fire. No sofa to curl up on. No family to call their own. They were simply there, existing rather than living.

Used for breeding, Jodie is Charlie’s daughter. Father and daughter.

Having recently lost my own dad, I know just how special a father-daughter bond can be. People often say animals are different, but if you spent just five minutes with these two, you’d understand. Their bond so strong.

Where one goes, the other follows.

Every morning when we arrive, they’re curled up together in the same bed. Every evening when we switch off the lights, they’re curled up together in that same bed. Through everything they’ve endured, they’ve had each other.

And because of that, we will never separate them.

As Father’s Day approaches, all Jodie wants is to see her dad happy, safe, and settled for the remainder of his days.

Charlie may be older now. He may be slower than the younger dogs who come through our doors. And yes, the reality is that with senior dogs, our time together is never long enough. Loss will come far sooner than it would with a puppy.

But what a difference you could make.

Imagine spending a lifetime knowing only hardship, only to spend your final years surrounded by love, comfort, and warmth. Imagine finally having a sofa to curl up on, a family to belong to, and the security of knowing you’re home.

That’s what Charlie deserves.

And for Jodie, who has never been far from her dad’s side, that dream includes her too.

What breaks our hearts is that despite being with us for months, not a single application has come in for them.

Not one.

Yet they are two of the most loyal, gentle, loving souls you could ever hope to meet.

Charlie is around 12 or 13 years old, and Jodie around . They don’t need long walks, adventures, or anything fancy. They simply deserve the chance to experience what a real home feels like.

Here in rescue, we do everything we can. They have warm bedding, good food, veterinary care, and they are loved beyond measure by every volunteer who knows them.

Are they happy? Yes.

Are they loved? Absolutely.

But is it a home?

No.

And after a lifetime of having so little, we desperately wish someone would give them the chance to spend their golden years together, safe, cherished, and finally knowing what it feels like to belong.

Please share Jodie and Charlie’s story. As this Father’s Day approaches let’s try to find a home where a devoted daughter and her beloved dad can spend the rest of their days together.

Their family must be out there somewhere. ❤️

Meet father and son, Charlie (13) and Jodie (10) — a devoted pair with a bond you don’t often see. Both Staffy crosses, they’ve spent their whole lives living outdoors […]
