At 26th MK Scouts we break up for Summer today. Camp pack up has begun.
But what’s the first week of the summer holiday like when you’re a Scout? Well if you’re a 26th MK Scout you’d be coming to the last evening of a 6 night camp with two other incredible 5th Dunstable Scouts & 24th Ilford North West Scout Groupt Scout Group, where you would have:
Built a raft and paddled it across a lake
Kayaked
Climbed
Raced peddle carts
Built shelters and slept over night in them
Played wide games in the woods
Whittled, sawed and chopped up wood for your own fires
Played a giant version of monopoly
Cooked every meal yourself including one whole day’s worth on your own fire
Toasted marshmallows
Sang songs around a campfire
Shot arrows at a range
Shot rifles at a range
Tested your skills on a slack line
Taken part in a water balloon battle
Competed in a week long task master… and so much more!
You’ll also have grown in confidence, grown friendships and discovered new skills you’ll use for life.
