Goodbye π«
Dear Friends and Supporters,
It is with sadness that we share the news that the funding from Milton Keynes City Council for Mytime in Milton Keynes will be ending in March 2025.
We are incredibly grateful to the businesses and organisations that have partnered with us, offering their generosity and support to create so many wonderful opportunities for carers.
Despite the challenges faced by the hospitality sector, everyone has been so supportive and Mytime has continued to grow, and offered much need respite and breaks to carers over the last eighteen months.
Since January 2024 alone, Mytime in Milton Keynes has provided over 500 complimentary breaks, offering carers a much-needed chance to recharge and feel valued. Many have shared how these breaks made a real difference in their lives, and we have been privileged to witness that impact firsthand.
While this news brings a great sense of loss, we also feel immense pride in what Mytime has achieved for unpaid carers in Milton Keynes. It has been an honour to get to know so many carers and to be part of something that has brought joy, rest, and recognition to those who give so much of themselves to care for others.
We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us, our partners, carers, and the wider community. Your kindness and commitment have made all this possible.
While our time in Milton Keynes is ending, our teams in Liverpool, Wigan, and Coventry will continue to advocate for and support unpaid carers, ensuring they have access to the breaks and respite they need.
Thank you once again for being part of this journey with us. Itβs been a privilege to get to know and meet so many of you!
With appreciation,
The Mytime Milton Keynes team π
