Women Leaders UK Recognising Outstanding Women in Business in Milton Keynes Over 600 guests attended the 2019 event and this year promises to be another wonderful evening.

The Women Leaders Awards recognise the achievements of remarkable women living or working within Milton Keynes. This prestigious event celebrates the very best of talented local women and has grown year on year to be a significant date for the professional community. Nominees in 15 categories will have contributed to the success of their industry sector, their organisation or the growth of the wider Milton Keynes community. After a rigorous judging process, the winners will be announced at a Gala Awards Ceremony held at the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel, Stadium MK, on October 16th. Women Leaders Chair Dr Julie Mills OBE, said: “Women Leaders UK aims to encourage women of all ages to develop their careers and achieve their full potential, including in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. There are some new categories this year and we encourage everyone to think about the inspiring and amazing women they know and nominate them.”

Behind every event, every programme, and every celebration of women’s achievements at Women Leaders - from our annual awards to our Allyship programme and inspiring STEM initiatives like MK Innovates - there’s a group of people quietly working to make it all happen; our trustees 👏

They don’t often step into the spotlight, but their role is vital - in our latest blog article, find out what it means to be a trustee and what a difference it can make from four of our current trustees; Hiran Odedra, Ruby Parmar, Dr Susan Izadkhasti and Freddie Guilmard.

We couldn't do any of it without you all! 🧡

Has everyone recovered from yesterday? The did it again...bringing home yet another trophy 🏆

The team is a shining example of leadership; the way they all conduct themselves on and off the pitch has made the whole country proud...especially , born and bred, captain of and the only England player to ever have lifted an International trophy on foreign soil! 👏

They are a true inspiration to future generations ⚽ 🥇

🎉 Congratulations and good luck!

I couldn’t be prouder to be selected as a finalist in the prestigious Awards in the category of Healthcare.

Everything I do in my role as an IBCLC and with my business -Pod is about supporting the health of our society at the very start of their lives.

Breastfeeding is not easy and the stories of pressure to do so, “failure” to do so, lack of support to do so are far too common.

My ethos that is “those in need should not be those who seek the solutions” and runs through all I do.

I am privileged to support 1000’s of parents, to educate medical students and student midwives and this type of recognition is an honour.

On Tuesday I donned my signature red lipstick 💄(I can’t tell you the mental strength this gives me 😝) logged on and had my interview on with an eminent panel of judges. So 🤞🤞🤞

Thank you to all those families who trust me with their healthcare ❤️💛🩷💚🧡💜💙
