2025… thank you 💛
You were busy.
Like, properly busy.
But also full of moments we’ll carry with us for a long time.
This year took me back to university for my final semester, making chocolate from bean to bar. Real cacao, real craft, real joy.
March saw Auntie Em’s back where I belong, behind the counter serving Dirty Fries again. Comfort food, good vibes and happy faces. At the same time, Auntie's Cookery Academy began working with the YMCA, which felt like the beginning of something genuinely special. Watching young people grow in confidence through food has been one of the greatest privileges of the year.
Spring was a whirlwind. Family time, Easter, finals, group presentations, taste tests and submitting my dissertation. It was a lot. We made it through. Mostly thanks to tea, tequila and sheer determination.
Summer brought some much-needed balance. A weekend away with my sister, Sophie Dale, Choir BLAST enjoyed without an apron on, more community events and more fries. July also delivered my degree results. A first. Still feels a bit unreal.
It was also a year of heartbreak. Saying goodbye to my little bestie Juno was incredibly hard. Grief has a way of sitting alongside joy, and this year held both. A family holiday soon after reminded me how powerful time together, laughter and the innocence of children can nourish the soul.
Autumn was full on in the best way. Festivals, private events, growing ACA, meeting inspiring people and sharing what we’re building. October gave a brief pause to reset, then it was straight back into it. And in December, a huge milestone. Auntie’s Cookery Academy officially became a registered charity. Still can’t quite believe it.
We ended the year feeding people at festive events, celebrating big wins, closing chapters and feeling incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported, booked us, cheered us on or simply eaten our fries.
So thank you, 2025.
For the lessons.
For the growth.
For the community.
And hello 2026.
We’re stepping into you excited, hopeful and ready.
More impact. More connection. More food that brings people together.
Let’s see what you’ve got 💫
