Christmas Lights 2025 – Community Sponsors Needed

We’re looking for sponsors to help light up our community this Christmas.

Each year, we maintain, store, and put up 48 Christmas lights, and this wouldn’t be possible without the continued support of local residents and businesses. Any contribution — big or small — helps keep our town festive and bright.

Unfortunately, we won’t be holding a Christmas Light Switch-On event this year due to a lack of volunteers. However, the lights will be switched on Saturday, November 22, thanks to the support of Scotia Animations.

If you or your business would like to help sponsor this year’s display, please get in touch. Your support is greatly appreciated and truly helps keep the Christmas spirit alive in our community.

Do you have a knack for finding funding opportunities, writing compelling grant applications, or organising fundraising efforts? Cults Library Trust is looking for a passionate volunteer to help secure grants and drive fundraising initiatives to support our mission of reopening Cults Library!
In this role, you’ll:
📌dentify relevant grants and funding opportunities
📌Write grant applications to secure essential funding
📌Help organise community fundraising efforts
Your work will directly impact our ability to reopen the library building, purchase educational resources, and provide activities for the community-before and after the library reopens!

📚 Join Our Education Volunteer Team - Volunteer
Opportunity! 📚
Are you a former teacher, librarian, teaching assistant, or education professional looking to make a difference? Cults Library Trust is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help deliver educational activities in the communitv while we redevelop the library-and in the library once it reopens!
We have a volunteer-led approach and are open to your ideas - whether it’s revision sessions, reading groups, storytelling, or something new! You’ll be part of a supportive team, and we have people in place to help you settle into your role.
In this role, you’ll:
📚Support literacy, reading, and learning activities for all ages 📚Use your expertise to engage and inspire the community
📚Help shape our outreach programs and future library activities
A pre-existing PVG is preferred, however not required upon application. All candidates must have PG completed before starting volunteering activities in this role.
