Offering services such as 'Meals on Wheels Service' Job Club Community projects, along with facilities for local businesses and organisations to access space for meetings and training Millom Network Centre is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee that provides life-long learning/training opportunities and encourages/assists local enterprise. MNC's core principals of building a stronger Community within Millom and surrounding areas, but also to support anyone who finds themselves in crisis or needs help and assistance in any way. MNC strives to provide clients with ‘Proactive Advice’ whereby they can be signposted to organisations who can assist with a broad spectrum of assistance required if their problems are outside our remit or capabilities. Our services are vital to our community, upon whom many rely be it on a weekly, monthly, or ad-hoc usage. Some users access more than one service, which is more than acceptable as it proves our need to ensure these continue. We also create safe spaces whereby activities can be run such as Adult Learning, Disability Groups & more. We also offer our flagship and award winning Millom STEM Club giving our young people the chance to explore subjects such as science, technology, engineering and maths. We take it out to local Primaries in the area to help inspire our potential engineers of the future. Our STEM Clubs are out-of-timetable sessions that enrich and broaden the curriculum.
