Train and travel update: Failure of the electricity supply
The recent rail issues at Millom have been caused by a failure of the Electricity supply between Barrow-in-Furness and Millom. This has led to the closure of all lines between these stations, resulting in cancellations or revisions of trains. The disruption is expected to last until the end of the day. To stay updated on the situation, passengers are advised to check the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner. - for those travelling by car this weekend please take extra care as storm Claudia takes a hold of the UK

✨ Today we launch our new brand! ✨

POPS has always stood for families – and our refreshed identity and new website are here to reflect that more clearly than ever.

Over the coming weeks, you’ll start to see our new look across our website, leaflets, social media and in our visitor centres. Please know that while our appearance is changing, the heart of what we do remains the same. We are still here to support you and your family, just as we always have.

Our rebrand is about making it easier for families to feel connected, informed, and supported. It honours our history while showing the breadth of what we do today—supporting families both inside and outside the justice system, creating spaces where lived experience is heard, and making sure families feel valued and empowered.

We’re also excited to share our new website...

A simpler, more accessible way to find information, services, and resources.

We would love to hear your feedback on the new brand via our quick 4 question survey:
