Further to our post last week about the dedicated South Pond Group volunteers who work so hard maintaining South Pond and Jubilee Path, we have received the following update from the team:
"Sadly again tree protectors and stakes had been removed by people unknown and so some of the saplings could not be found. We had painted these protectors and stakes in white so we could find them and although most were there quite a number were missing. Garden rubbish had also been dumped again which does not help."
If you notice any vandalism, fly-tipping, or other issues affecting South Pond or Jubilee Path, please report so that appropriate action can be taken.
On more positive news:
"Next Month we shall be having our Moth Identification at 10.0 – 11.0 as part of our morning work. Bob Foreman our moth expert will be coming and opening the moth trap to see what has been caught overnight before releasing them. This event is open to anyone including children.
Please do come along for all or part of our session on 11th July 2026 9.30am – 12.30pm."
