This Month. Next Month. Every Month.

At MHCBC, we don’t believe mental health is something that fits into a single awareness week or a calendar slot. It’s real, it’s daily, and it affects more people than we often realize. That’s why we continue to raise awareness—not just once, but every single month.

Through our social media pages, our Facebook group, and our meets, we create spaces where people can talk openly, feel heard, and know they’re not alone. Because sometimes, starting a conversation is the hardest step—but it can also be the most powerful one.

We show up consistently because support shouldn’t be occasional. It should be ongoing. Whether it’s checking in, sharing stories, or standing side by side at our meets, we’re building a community that lifts each other up and breaks the stigma surrounding mental health.

Mental health needs to be acknowledged, supported, and addressed every month—because life doesn’t pause, and neither do the challenges people face.

We do this because it matters.
We do this because people matter.
We do this because together, we are stronger.

Driven by support. Focused on change.

We are incredibly proud and humbled to share that, thanks to the amazing people who make up our community, MHCBC has been nominated for a BBC Radio Tees Make a Difference Award.

This nomination means more to us than words can express. From day one, our mission has been about bringing people together, supporting one another, and creating a community where nobody feels alone. To know that members of our community took the time to nominate us is truly overwhelming.

Every event, every conversation, every drive, every meet-up, and every campaign we run is for the people who support us and believe in what we are trying to achieve. This nomination belongs just as much to you as it does to us.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported MHCBC, attended our events, shared our message, checked in on a friend, or simply been part of this incredible journey. Your support continues to inspire us every single day.

To be recognised in this way is an honour, but knowing that our community feels we’ve made a positive difference is the greatest reward of all.

Thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and helping us make a difference together. 💙

That empty chair at the table.

That’s what su***de leaves behind.

Not a statistic.
Not a number.
Not a headline.

A son who never comes home.
A brother whose phone will never ring again.
A father whose children grow up with memories instead of moments.
A partner left wondering if there was something they could have done.
A friend whose laugh is suddenly replaced by silence.

Every man lost to su***de leaves a space that can never truly be filled.

Too often, men suffer behind a smile, hide their pain behind humour, and carry burdens they were never meant to carry alone. They tell everyone they’re “fine” because they’re afraid of being judged, misunderstood, or becoming a burden.

But struggling doesn’t make you weak.
Talking doesn’t make you weak.
Asking for help doesn’t make you weak.

The strongest thing a man can do is speak up.

Today, check in on the men in your life.

The friend who has gone quiet.
The dad who says he’s just tired.
The brother who always seems to be looking after everyone else.
The mate who jokes about everything but never talks about himself.

A simple message.
A phone call.
A conversation.

It could mean more than you’ll ever know.

Because every life matters.
Every conversation matters.
And every man deserves to know that he doesn’t have to face his battles alone.

💗 TO THE WOMEN IN OUR COMMUNITY 💗

While June is recognised as Men’s Mental Health Month, we believe mental health awareness should be promoted equally for both men and women all year round.

Mental health struggles don’t follow a calendar. Anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, grief, and loneliness can affect anyone at any time.

At Mental Health Car & Bike Club, we proudly support the women in our community who may be struggling. We want you to know that you are seen, valued, and never alone.

Please remember:

💗 You matter.
💗 Your mental health matters.
💗 Your wellbeing matters.
💗 Your voice matters.

If you’re struggling, reach out. Talk to someone you trust. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

And to everyone else, check in on the women around you. A simple conversation could make all the difference.
