This is a network for anyone dreaming of a progressive future for Teesside. Let’s share ideas, finding space to connect and to flourish together. Radical and creative transformation in our area is possible. Across Teesside there are people like you and me who care about our area. We all have unique visions of what this place could become but it's easy to be put off by the scale. Community Connectors (formerly Hope4Boro) is an initiative to share ideas, to learn from each other and to grow positive alternatives for our towns. Each of us has a spiritual and human impulse to create something better than what we have. So get involved in the conversations, share your dreams for a better Teesside and shape this movement. Be inspired and join others who are getting active in your community. Be the change you want to see in the world. Collaborative projects include:
Urban Rebirth (alley greening network)
Shared workspace and resource library
Boro SOUP (crowdfunding for small charities)
Training for growth as an activist and an organiser
Community conversations, including Reimagining Boro. We're an independent network but have good national links to help us connect with the bigger picture of change. We are a Community Organisers local group: https://www.corganisers.org.uk/membership/local-organising-groups/community-organisers-middlesbrough/
A Transition Town (eco) initiative: https://transitioninitiative.org/initiatives/community-connectors-teesside-eco-sphere/
