Busy morning in the Den having a duck race. Thanks to all those who bought ducks and those who turned up on the day to watch and help with the race. 2/3 winners were there on the day and we’ll be in touch with the other winner later today. The monies raised help to pay for the Dr Bike event hosted in the park yesterday, where lots of local families got their bikes checked for the summer. 🐤🐤

The park carpark will be closed from 5pm Friday 24th April - 3pm (approx) Saturday 25th April to allow the Dr Bike event to happen safely. Please remove cars by this time as gates will be locked promptly.

Ducks will be available to buy from w/c 13th April from the post office and also at the Fresh Air Funday on the 25th April in the park. Any remaining ducks will be for sale on the day of the race.Cash prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ducks🐤🐤🐤

Great to see that both abandoned cars that were taking up space in the park carpark have been removed. A gentle reminder that Methven Park is not a council owned park and therefore the carpark is private land. The carpark is intended to be used by park visitors and we are increasingly seeing vehicles parked there who are not visiting the park. We ask that people are mindful of this and also mindful of leaving disabled and parent&child bays for those who need them. The bays are due to be redone in the near future. Thanks for your cooperation. 🚗🚘🚙🅿️
