We did a thing!
As the dust begins to settle (or rather the brutal wind and lashing rains ease)…we can start to reflect on our epic adventure raising funds, awareness and hope for those affected by MND.
Scotland ✔️
England ✔️
Wales (omg the weather) ✔️
Ireland ✔️
Our humble wee group, The Tweed Sprocketers, cycled from Melrose to Dublin, and although the weather played havoc with our plans we still managed a combined mileage of circa 650 miles in 4 days. It was tough going at times, sleep was rationed, but we still managed to laugh and live in the moment.
This was much more than a bike challenge - it was about doing something for those who face struggles far tougher than anything we can imagine.
Thank you everyone who sponsored and supported us. A special mention to Leeds Rowing Club and Gloucester & Severnside Coop Bowling Club for the accommodation, together with all the clubs who fed, watered and catered for our every needs along the way.
Thanks to Rob, Mark, Mia and Finlay at myname5doddie for organising an amazing event and helping us all raise an incredible £1.5m already.
Finally thanks to our amazing support crew - we couldn’t have done it without you.
Till next time…
A reminder that our gofundme page remains open until the end of the month (link below)
