Donor Spotlight: Daws Hill Vineyard 🍇

A huge thank you to the team at Daws Hill Vineyard for supporting the FoGMS Summer Auction.

Nestled in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, Daws Hill Vineyard produces award-winning English sparkling wine and offers visitors the chance to discover the journey from vine to bottle right here in Buckinghamshire.

We are delighted that they have generously donated two vineyard tour and tasting experiences to our auction. These unique prizes include a guided tour of the vineyard and winery, together with the opportunity to sample their fantastic sparkling wines.

They are also celebrating English Wine Week (20-28 June) with a programme of tours, tastings and special events at the vineyard. 🍾

🌿 Donor Spotlight: Rigden Studio Garden & Landscape Design

A huge thank you to Tabitha Rigden of Rigden Studio for supporting the FoGMS Summer Auction.

Based near Marlow, Tabitha is an award-winning garden and landscape designer and an Accredited Member of the Society of Garden + Landscape Designers. Her work focuses on creating beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces that are thoughtfully designed to suit both the people who use them and the surrounding landscape.

Tabitha has generously donated a Garden Design Consultation worth £300. The winner will receive a bespoke consultation in their own garden, with expert advice and inspiration on layout, spatial configuration, planting, materials, lighting and ways to make the most of their outdoor space.

Whether you’re considering a complete garden transformation, refreshing a particular area, or simply looking for professional guidance and fresh ideas, this is a fantastic prize.

Donor Spotlight: Roger Gracie Academy Marlow

A huge thank you to Roger Gracie Academy Marlow for supporting the FoGMS Summer Auction with the donation of a four-week membership.

Many local families will already know Roger Gracie Academy. Founded by Paul Busby, the academy has been part of the Marlow community for almost 30 years, helping thousands of children, teenagers and adults discover the benefits of martial arts.

Today, the academy is one of the largest martial arts centres in the UK, with more than 600 members, 60+ classes each week and programmes for everyone from complete beginners to experienced competitors.

What we especially love is the strong sense of community. Whether you’re a nervous four-year-old attending your first class, a parent joining a family session, or an adult looking to try something new, you’ll find a welcoming and supportive environment.

The winning bidder will receive four weeks of training, with access to age-appropriate classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing and Muay Thai.

🍕 Donor Spotlight: Da Luca Restaurant

A huge thank you to Da Luca Restaurant for supporting the FoGMS Summer Auction.

If you’ve lived in Marlow or Marlow Bottom for any length of time, chances are you’ve either eaten at Da Luca, recommended it to a friend, or promised yourself you’ll book a table soon!

For many years, Gianluca and his team have been serving authentic Italian food inspired by the flavours of Calabria, while becoming a much-loved part of village life. More than just a restaurant, Da Luca is one of those local businesses that is always there to support community events, schools and local causes whenever they can.

Many local residents will also recognise their fantastic mobile pizza trailer, which can often be found at events across the area. We’re especially excited that they’ll also be helping to keep everyone fed at our upcoming Bingo Night. 🍕

Da Luca have kindly donated a restaurant voucher to our Summer Auction, giving one lucky winner the perfect excuse to enjoy a delicious Italian meal, whether you’re a loyal regular or looking for an excuse to finally give it a try.

Donor Spotlight: Nicola Metcalfe

A huge thank you to local artist Nicola Metcalfe for generously donating a beautiful London Skyline print to our Summer Auction.

Many people will recognise Nicola’s distinctive artwork, which has been featured by organisations including John Lewis and Tate. Her colourful, contemporary illustrations celebrate some of Britain’s most iconic landmarks and have gained admirers far beyond Buckinghamshire.

What we especially love is that Nicola is one of our local community’s creative talents, based right here in Marlow Bottom.

The winning bidder will receive a vibrant A3 London Skyline print, perfect for adding a splash of colour to any home.

🎶 Donor Spotlight: Rock Bottom 🎶

A huge thank you to the Rock Bottom team for supporting FoGMS this year.

Rock Bottom has become one of the highlights of the local calendar, bringing together families, friends and neighbours for a fantastic day of live music, entertainment and community spirit.

Run entirely by volunteers, the festival helps raise funds to maintain and improve the Marlow Bottom playing fields for everyone to enjoy throughout the year.

We’re delighted that the team have donated a Rock Bottom 2027 Family Ticket to our Summer Auction, helping us raise funds for Great Marlow School while supporting another brilliant local community initiative.

If you’ve never been before, this year’s festival takes place on Saturday 20th June and is a fantastic family day out with great music, food, entertainment and a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish.

Donor Spotlight: Specsavers Marlow

A huge thank you to the wonderful team at Specsavers Marlow for their incredible support of FoGMS this year.

Not only have they generously donated a gorgeous pair of designer sunglasses to our Summer Auction, they have also contributed towards the purchase of tablets for the Art Department and donated prizes for our Family Bingo Night on 3rd July.

Many members of our school community are customers of the Marlow store and regularly speak highly of the friendly, professional service they receive.

While many people recognise the Specsavers name, the Marlow store is run by a local team who actively support the local community.

Supporting a school community takes many forms, and we are incredibly grateful to local businesses that continue to support our fundraising efforts throughout the year.
