Caistor Food banks new updated rules (dated 1st October 2022) for all new & exsisting clients:
All walk in or delivery clients must live within a 10 mile radius of Caistor Foodbank & our services are for residents who live within the West Lindsey District Council boundary Area Only. All brand new & current walk in & delivery clients will get one 3 day food parcel from the kitchen volunteers every
2 weeks which will include tinned items, frozen items & toiletries if we've been donated them. Items from the free tables which include Fresh Fruit, Fresh Veg, Fresh Bread, Gregg's products & other items will now only be available ONCE A WEEK to all brand new & existing clients & who walk in or on delivery. Anyone on a week when you don't receive your food parcel from the Kitchen Volunteers are welcome to come into the Foodbank on a Saturday between 12:30 to 1:30pm only to collect some free top up food from the tables but your only now allowed this ONCE A WEEK & this will be on a first come first served basis due to a reduction in donations from the supermarkets. New & existing clients that are referred to us through professional organisations must live within 10 miles of our centre and must be West Lindsey District Council residents only to qualify for our sevices & support. The reason we have had to bring these new strict updated rules in today is due to an increase in the demand for the use of the food bank & the reductions in supermarket donations which came into force today. The management team & trustees all agree these measures need to be in place to protect the stocks at Caistor Food Bank to cope with the extra demand on our service and the supermarket donations reductions. We rely on community donations to support our clients which can be dropped off at our centre on a Wednesday or Saturday between 11:30 till 1:30pm or in our danation baskets in Caistor & Keelby Lincolnshire Co-op stores. Thanks in advance for your kind donations our clients really appreciate the support they get from our community. Any clients who give false information or who are found to be reselling any product they receive from Caistor Food Bank through their care & support package will have their support from the food bank terminated instantly. Caistor Food Bank Management Team reserve the right to refuse entry or exclude anyone from the premises when required.
