Tickets for Castle Capers 2024 are available NOW!

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Castle Capers and Gang Show in Newcastle-under-Lyme and we can’t wait to perform for you at the Mitchell Arts Centre from the 2nd - 6th of April 2024!

Tickets are available for booking now via the link below to the Mitchell Arts Centre website. Tickets cost £12 each and include a small transaction fee when purchasing online. To avoid this you can go to the theatre (ST1 4HG) to purchase directly.

1st Ashley Air Scout Group will be providing a fun filled activity for our Easter Bunny Trail on the 9th of April: Soft Archery!
If you'd like to have a go at this great activity pop along to Tadgedale Brook and you'll be guaranteed a warm welcome - on top of having fun, and pretending to be a budding Robin Hood, there are prizes to be won!

1st Ashley first opened on 10th July 1961 with 2 Scouter leaders , 14 Scouts and 1 Senior Scout, and the group registration was finalised on 8th September 1961 by headquarters under the name of 45th stoke on Trent and Newcastle (1st Ashley) scout group and meetings were held at Ashley memorial Hall, Ashley. We became an Air Scouts group on 9th Feb 1970 under the name of 45th stoke on Trent and Newcastle (1st Ashley) Air scout group.

We are a group with Squirells, beavers, Cub and Scout section in Loggerheads, near Market Drayton, Staffordshire. We meet at Hugo Meynell school every week during term time. Wednesdays: 6 pm until 7 pm for Beavers (6- 8 years )and 7.15 pm-8.30 pm for Cubs , then on Fridays: 6 pm - 7 pm for Squirrels (4 - 6 years) and 7.30 pm - 9pm for Scouts (10-14 years)
