Leading arts and education organisations have co-signed a statement to the Department for Education and DCMS, coordinated by The Arts and Minds Campaign, calling on the Government to go further to fully restore the status of arts subjects in schools. The statement urges ministers to ensure the arts become a fundamental part of every child's school experience.

Applications are still open for our Opening Doors Conference Bursary! 🎶

We’re offering up to six fully funded places at our Annual Conference 2026 for individuals who may otherwise be unable to attend.

The bursary is open to anyone facing barriers to participation, but we particularly encourage applications from groups that are underrepresented at our events, including disabled professionals, individuals from global majority backgrounds, and early-career practitioners.

By removing financial barriers, we hope to create a more diverse, inclusive, and representative conference where a wider range of voices and perspectives can be heard 💡

The letter highlights the Department's contribution to the music education sector, and the opportunity presented by the proposed BA in Music & Creative Industries.
