Coalfields Regeneration Trust is working with the Refugee Council to deliver a free session which will help support you to manage difficult conversations and hostility about asylum seekers and refugees more effectively while working in your communities.

The Refugee Council is the nationโ€™s refugee charity. Together with community groups, partners, and volunteers, they help people who have escaped war and persecution to rebuild their lives, integrate into communities, and play their part in Britain. The charity has carried out over 2 years of research to identify the most effective way to change the opinions of critics to asylum seekers and refugees.

There will be a presentation followed by an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. To allow open conversation, this session will not be recorded.

We are running a cookery course from 7th January 2026-11th February 2026 and have a few space left if anyone would like to join us. Its a free course and will be primarily aimed at slow cooker meals for families on a budget.
