We’re in the news! Last week our CEO, Gail Heath, sat down with ILOVEMCR to discuss her experience working in the sector, the importance of the work we do at Manchester Women’s Aid and the severity of violence against women and girls (VAWG) in the UK.

Important to this article is how we see those we help as survivors, not victims. In this article Gail reaffirms how our extraordinary staff and services help those in need by being there while a survivor rebuild and rediscover life.

Every month Manchester Women’s Aid hold a monthly peer support group, Still a Mum, a group that supports mums with experience of child removal through local authority care proceedings. It is a safe, confidential space offering support to a group of mums with similar challenges.
